My Personal Story
Back In 2012 when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I remember becoming fearful of eating. It was at this point I noticed the profound correlation between what I ate and how I felt (often times immediately). I’ve since learned that diet isn’t fixed and sometimes, we need to cycle through different eating styles depending upon how we feel and what our bodies can process.
There were times where simple juices were all I could handle and other times I did best on a keto diet. Every “body” is different as well as our palettes. Throw chronic illness into the mix and the various symptoms, medications and side effects (like gastro-intestinal issues) and you have more food confusion. Here we try to have something for everyone at whatever eating “season” they’re in.
Good food is a celebration of life, and every bite can be a step towards healing. Explore, cook, and nourish your way to a brighter, healthier you.
